Subject:  Re: Channels Hanging
Are there any entries in fwstart.log?  If your channels are not restarting, it probably means that something is preventing the FoxWeb Channel Monitor from killing them.  Fwstart.log will usually list the script that was executed last by the offending channel.

Also, check the Task Manager (Ctrl-Shift-Esc) for instances of dw15.exe, dw20.exe, or something similar in the Processes tab.  If you do indeed find such entries, it's an indication that VFP had a serious crash and invoked the Windows Error Reporting Tool.  There are ways to disable this, but it's important to find the cause of the error too.

I have FoxWeb 3.51 running on two servers. One server has one often hit website and the other server has two sites that are hit and used with great frequency. Both servers have FoxWeb set up the exact same way. The problem is that on the second server I frequently get No Channels Active and there is no log in the Error Log as to the cause. The channels do not reset and everything hangs until I stop and start the service. The set up is as follows for both servers.

Configuration:
Sctipt timeout = 45
Session timeout = 60
Total channels = 2
Buffer mem size = 300
System info
Error log
Compile
Close tables
Log script errors
Restart channels
Run as service
Buffer output
Session support
Reset after errors

Any ideas about what is happening and how to correct the channels hanging please?

Joe
