Have you installed any software, such as antivirus programs that would block Windows Script? The error you are getting is generated by Windows Installer and we don't have much control over it.
You could try faking windows into thinking that FoxWeb is not installed, but I don't know if this will make a difference. To do so, simply delete the following key from the registry:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\52F58356B24A34B42B106A2E2A3AF054
You should then be able to run the setup program from scratch.

I was already running IE 7 when all this started. I tried the download link suggested (
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads ...) below, it said I was already running more current than the download and would not continue.
Any more suggestions?

FoxWeb 4 no longer starts any channels while the control
center calls for 2.
IO tried to remove FW 4 with Windows XP pro’s Control Panels
Add and Remove Programs to no avail. It
failed for some reason that I didn’t keep tract of.
I deleted the FoxWeb directory with a shift delete. Therefore there is nothing in the trash can.
8-(
Then I tried to remove it with the Control Panels Add and
Remove Programs - Remove which failed with an internal error 2738.
Then I tried to remove it (Control Panels Add and Remove
Programs - Change) via FoxWeb Setup - Remove which failed with an internal
error 2738.
Then I tried to Repair it (Control Panels Add and Remove
Programs - Change) via FoxWeb Setup - Repair that failed with an internal error
2738.
Any suggestions
.
