Subject:  Re: %1 is not a valid Win32 application
I ran the following in a DOS window,

cscript %SYSTEMDRIVE%\inetpub\adminscripts\adsutil.vbs SET W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32bitAppOnWin64 1

And now I get a "Service unavailable".

Is that progress?

Is it possible that the new image is 64-bit, while the old one was 32-bit? You are really facing two unrelated issues here:
Your channels are being restarted every 30 seconds. This am confident that this issue can be (or has already been) resolved.
IIS (64-bit) is refusing to run the 32-bit foxweb.dll and/or foxweb.exe. This issue is probably resolvable, but, as I mentioned in my previous message, this is not a supported configuration and we have not done much testing with FoxWeb running on 64-bit versions of Windows. Here are some links that may be helpful:

Does this mean I am basically out of business?

I was running 3.6 2 days ago. Or did my server company upgrade my Windows version when I re-imaged my server yesterday?

I have 2 theories on this. When I install Foxweb it defaults to installing under a directory named

c:\Program Files (x86)

rather than

c:\Program Files

And the webserver is confusing the 2 directories because they are similiarly named up to the left parenthasies.

Also I beleive there is a point where a directory entry is being entered into the Windows registry that has a space in it, and it requires quotes around it or vice versa.

Although some of our customers have managed to run FoxWeb on 64-bit versions of windows, this is not a supported configuration. If you wish to try it anyway, make sure you are installing either FoxWeb 3.6, or 4.3. Versions prior to 3.5 had problems, similar to what you are describing, when being operated in Remote Desktop/Terminal Services.
Also, try the following:
Log in as administrator.
Disable the Run as a Service option.
Disable the Hide Windows option.
Try running FoxWeb.
If this doesn't help, try maximizing the now visible FoxWeb channels and look for any visible signs, such as error messages.
If it does work, then start reversing your changes above and let us know which one breaks your configuration.

Please provide us with more information:
  1. Operating system
  2. 32 or 64 bit?
  3. Web server software
  4. Is there anything in fwstart.log? Paste any error messages in your response.
Unless you have a specific reason to run FW 3, you might as well run FW 4. By the way, did you uninstall FW 4, before installing FW 3? You can upgrade to a newer version without uninstalling, but we have not done any testing on the opposite.

When I installed version 4 I get:

%1 is not a valid Win32 application

When I run:

http://localhost/show_cgi.fwx

I installed version 3, and I dont get any channels opening.

How many days do you think it will take to get http://localhost/show_cgi to run?

Thanks
