I set foxweb to run as the administrator and this fixed it.

Not yet, but I will try that first, and setup remote access for you if it fails.

I'll give it a try tomorrow and let you know what happens.

Thanks......

Hmm, no information in the log. Have you tried temporarily disabling the Run as Service and Hide Channels options as suggested in the Troubleshooting --> Common Problems page? This will make channel windows and may provide clues that will help you identify the problem.

The final option would be to give us remote access to your server, so that we can attempt to troubleshoot. If you are interested in this, please send email to our support address (support@foxweb.com).

just keeps on resetting, and each reset seems to make another instance of VFP. I only have it set to use one channel.

Steve,

This is almost certainly a configuration problem. You should be able to get some additional information, by looking at the file fwstart.log. My hope is that you will be able to find one or more entries for each channel restart attempt. If you have trouble interpreting these entries, post the content here.

For additional details on how to troubleshoot this issue, please to the "No channels active error" section of the Troubleshooting --> Common Problems page in the FoxWeb documentation.

Server 2003 Enterprise
VFP 9.0 SP2
Not using the runtime .dll
IIS installed
FoxWeb 4.3
192.168.1.101 (the test server on our local network)
using foxweb.dll as isapi (yes it's configured correctly, see below why)

Dell Power Edge 2650
2 Gigs Ram
2 Dual Core Xenon 2.8ghz

All original equipment except the hard drives.

Channel Not Started Error

I know it's configured correctly because I have just setup another server running the same exact OS and settings all everything works 100% on that machine, but the one keeps on loading vfp instances over and over and over. Even before I even try to access the pages I made.

Before I reinstalled the OS, I had it running fine, but I re-did the raid, so I figured I'd re-install the OS. I couldn't get it to work, so I reinstalled the OS again and while that was doing it's thing, I configured the other smaller server and everything is working fine and loads fast. Very very strange.

Gonna save up for a new server and retire this one. I like the poweredge series, but this one is just old. 5 or 6 years I think.
