Subject:  Re: Old FoxWeb - old problem
This is not a really a FoxWeb issue, but rather a Windows networking/Samba issue.  Is the database on the Samba volume constantly updated by other users on the local network?  If not, then I recommend making occasional copies of the database to the Web server.  This will eliminate the problem and dramatically improve performance.  VFP is significantly faster when accessing data files locally.

We have old FoxWeb 1.0 in NT 4 with IIS4. Database is on Samba server witch is mapped to drive X in NT 4. Then computer is locked. Occasionally FoxWeb is loosing connection to mapped drive, but is returned when clikking mapped drive. Is there way to keep connection on ?
