Subject:  Re:\'restarting channel 1\' message Update
I've since installed the full version of VFP 6.0 and that cleared the problem up.  Could it possibly have not been able to find my runtime DLLs or would it have given me a different message?

I now have a different problem (getting a Channel not Responding message), but I suspect it has to do with some setup problems for my web.  I'll be back if I can't figure it out.  If any of you have ideas on where to look for fixing that message, I'd open to them.

Thanks for your help!

I've looked at the fwstart.log.  All it says is Starting Foxweb, then it goes to the restarting message over and over and over.  I had already changed my temp dir based on a different message I found here, and it didn't help with the problem.  Any other ideas?

Thanks!

You should look at the file fwstart.log for clues as to what's preventing channels from initializing, but the most common cause is that FoxWeb does not have access to its temporary directory.  You should make sure that the TempDir registry entry hkey_local_machine\software\Aegis Group\FoxWeb\CurrentVersion\TempDir points to a location, in which the FoxWeb user has write privileges.

Hi, all ...

I've just installed Foxweb 2.11 on an XP Pro machine for setting up a temporary local version of our website, but everytime I start Foxweb, it simply generates a 'Restarting Channel 1' message in the FWSTART.LOG file every second or so.  No channels are actually active, nor do any channel windows actually show up.  When I check the status, it show no Channels waiting.

Any help would be appreciated.  I'm in a time crunch here.  Thanks!
