Subject:  Re: Select data from odbc
Ok, Thank. I Will ook in this direction and hope find a solution.

But how do you explain that, all requests send to Oracle through ODBC are executed very slowly (12 or 13 seconds to select 100 lines from a table of 90000 lines) ? Is the problem coming from Oracle driver ? Is there a problem in the communication between VFP6 and Oracle ?

The same selection on Microsoft Access (via ODBC) is executed more rapidly (very more).

This looks like a problem with the Oracle driver, the server, or the network connection between the FoxWeb server and the Oracle server.  The fact that the problem is intermittent may make it hard to diagnose.  I recommend that you post your question in a discussion forum that specializes in Oracle connectivity issues.

Hi,
I am using Foxweb 3, and we have an urgent problem, very strange :
We use to select data from an Oracle Server, passing trough Microsoft ODBC for Oracle Driver.

Usually, it works very fine. But Sometimes, I get an cursor filled with empty data.

For example, we select 4 lines from a table in the database. The same request will work very fine a long time, and sometimes, I really have 4 lines in my cursor, but the last line is filled with empty data, or sometimes the 2 last lines are empty.

Can anybody help me please ? It very urgent !
Thanks a lot for help.
