I think I found the problem and, or course, it was me. It is so stupid that I hesitate even mentioning it here. Thanks for the help.

How is FoxWeb configured in terms of the following settings?
  • Close Tables
  • Use Run-Time DLL
  • Restart Channels
  • Run as a Service
  • Reset After Errors
  • Total Channels
It would be helpful if you sent us the contents of your fwstart.log.

Also, if the server is accessible over the Internet, please send us the server name, so that we can run a couple of tests.

Finally, while you are having the problem, please
  1. Call show_channels.fwx and send us a screen-shot.
  2. Start the Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), sort the process list and let us know how many of the following processes are running:
    • vfp8.exe or fwserver.exe
    • dw15.exe

I just upgraded to the new version of FoxWeb and am still using VFP8. Now and then I cause a programming error (such as IF without ENDIF) and get the usual FoxWeb error message. I then fix the error and then get a NO Active Channel message. I stop and start FoxWeb and still get the no active channel message. I then stop and start the process and still get the error. I have to reboot the server to get channels back. Is this a new error in the upgrade or something I am doing wrong?
