Subject:  Re: FoxWeb 1.28 and Window 2003
As I said, we have seen problems with installations of FoxWeb 1.X on Windows 2000 and 2003.  Among others, you will see channels being killed for no reason if a script takes longer than 5 seconds to execute and you will be unable to run FoxWeb as a service.  The first problem may be resolved by following the instructions at http://www.foxweb.com/win2000fix.asp, but there are other potential problems.

Oh, and by the way, FoxWeb 1.X does not come with an ISAPI DLL, so you have to use the CGI executable (foxweb.exe), which is far less efficient.

The upgrade from FoxWeb 1.X to FoxWeb 3.X costs $99.  You can find additional details in our Purchase page.

So how come it is running on our 2000 and 2003 servers with channels open and everything? Are there parts of it not compatible, like with IIS?

Is the upgrade free with an existing license for 1.28?

Thanks

FoxWeb 1.28 was released way before Windows 2003 (or even Windows 2000 for that matter) was released and is not compatible, nor is it supported on this operating system.  In order to run FoxWeb on Windows 2003 you will need to upgrade to the latest version.

We are using 1.28 version on W2k3. Does it work on 2003?
We also keep getting 404 file not found errors when executing .fwx scripts. What I noticed is, the ISAPI mapping for fwx files points to foxweb.exe. Should it point to foxweb.dll instead. Also, it seems we do not have the dll file. Could these be the causes of why we are getting that error?

Thanks
