Thank you very much for your relies. It seams that VFP will continu after all with the codeplex vfpx idea. Anyways I will not jump too soon in changing all I have done if there is no technical needs besides following the crowd. For now Foxweb is excellent and I can rely on your product.

The .NET framework is the direction that Microsoft chose a few years ago. Providing a detailed explanation of .NET would take a bit too long, but there are plenty of good resources that provide information on this subject, including Wikipedia.

VFP is not a .NET product, but there are ways to utilize the .NET framework from your VFP programs, if you so choose. There are several articles that explain how to do this.

ActiveVFP is just another competing product to FoxWeb. The concepts are similar, but instead of providing its own CGI, or ISAPI module, ActiveVFP relies on ASP, or ASP.NET to invoke your scripts.

Dear foxweb team,
I don't get at all the .net idea ? What is the main concept behind that, is VFP .net product it seams that you can use VFP with visual studio, also what is the activevfp project is it competing with foxweb is that another tool ? I am using foxweb for years and it is extremmely stable, fast enough, and writing vfp code directly in the html pages (like asp or php) is as far as I know the right way. Can you please just give some input to understand the issues we are talking about, I write code to make a living not to chat about fancy terms during a meal ! Thank you again for foxweb.Knowing that VFP is not updated is already difficult and I reall can't get the same productivity with other solutions I tried.
