Subject:  Re: Startup
Before you can access FoxWeb, you must first ensure that IIS is installed and functioning properly on your computer. The http://localhost URL should return the default home page and it clearly does not.

If you are using IE, you may be able to get more information about the cause of the problem by disabling the Show Friendly HTTP Error Messages in Advanced options. Also, you should look in the Event Log (Control Panel\Administrative Tools) for additional clues. There are several resources that can help you isolate the problem -- just Google the error message and/or symptoms, plus the keywords IIS and XP.

Once you have IIS up and running, you may or may not have to reinstall FoxWeb (depending on what you had to do to fix IIS).

Please provide additional information:

  • Operating system (include whether you are running a 32-bit or 64-bit version)?
  • Web server software (IIS, Apache, etc.)
  • Can you access static pages on your server (for example, what do you get when you request http://localhost)?
  • Did you have to do any manual configuration, or did you simply run the FoxWeb setup program?

I have downloaded 4.3, and installed it
I can see the icon in my sys tray, and all  appears well
(1 channel, server 127.0.0.1, waiting, 0 connection)

I enter the sample code in my browser
(http://localhost/ContactMine2/Contact.fwx)

I asks me for username and password (Administrator + my password)
I get error HTTP 500 Internal Server Error

Can someone help me with this?
